Unforgettable Stay

My family and friends had an unforgettable stay at Villa La Minerva. First of all, the pictures of the home are exactly as advertised. The house had all of the modern amenities and facilities that one could ask for. (…) Luca and Rita could not have done more to help us settle in. They communicated promptly, helped us with setting up 2 amazing babysitters, and arranged 2 wonderful meals to be cooked in the home by local Italian ladies who treated us like their own family. We can’t wait to go back!!

Lovely home

Our 6 days in Termini over Christmas went in a flash. Such a beautiful home in a gorgeous part of the world. Winter is definitely a good time to visit the region with quieter roads and great experience of the local culture without hoards of tourists. The villa is so spacious and tastefully laid out with everything you could need. Luca and Rita were very welcoming and helpful (…). The local village of Termini is an easy walk away and has a well stocked supermarket and several restaurants. (…) We did some great day trips using Termini as a base – to Capri, Amalfi and to Pompeii and although the roads took a bit of getting used to in the end we got through unscathed. A fantastic week that will go down in the memory books for the whole family. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

A special place to stay

This is such a special place to stay, and we loved our week here! The view is unbelievable, and the house is just lovely. Everything was clean and new inside, and the outdoor spaces are gorgeous. It’s far enough away from the more touristy towns but easy enough to get to them, and I’ve never had such great communication from the hosts, who were happy to help with everything from restaurant reservations to taxi bookings to tours, which was so helpful over the course of the week. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay in a beautiful area, I highly recommend this wonderful villa!

Everything for you

This place was great!! It was a little hard to get to but you can arrange transportation to and from the airport and Luca will book everything for you including tours and private cooking at the villa. We did a private boat to Capri and coast and also the cooking at the villa. Both were so awesome. The view is of Capri Island and it was breathless. There is a terrace outside which I was able to enjoy yoga from. It was easy to do checkin and checkout and Luca and the host checked in daily to see how it was going. (…) We felt very secure and it was peaceful. (…) I would have loved to spend more time at the villa but there is just so much to do in the Amalfi Coast. Thank you for the great stay!

Dream place!

A highlight of our trip

My extended family stayed at Villa La Minerva for a week for our vacation and we absolutely loved every moment of it. It’s a truly special place. The property and the home are simply stunning, with spectacular views and grounds. The house is located on a quiet street, where there are a few neighbors, but no one is on top of you so it feels very private. (…) It is peaceful and beautiful. The house itself is simply stunning, with gorgeous design touches throughout. It’s a perfect blend of old and modern. It was extremely comfortable and spacious, and the kitchen was excellent for all of us to gather in. The outdoor spaces are fantastic, with several spots for relaxing and playing. We loved all of the fresh fruit trees on the property – kiwis, lemons, olives, and some tomatoes in the garden. Luca was an absolute delight and was extremely helpful and responsive. He helped arrange a private boat trip for my family to Capri (which was a highlight of our trip) as well as a delicious dinner cooked for us at home. (…) Overall, we highly recommend this beautiful home – it was a slice of heaven and we did not want to leave!

Unanimous opinion

This property is amazing. Breathtaking views of Capri from everywhere in the villa. Clean and modern with AC, WiFi and a small pool to soak in at the end of day after touring the area. Luca, the property manager was great in helping us organize tours of the Amalfi coast, sorrento, Capri, and Pompeii.

He arranged for a driver to pick us up each day on the tours. For those who want exercise there is a beautiful hike to nearby lighthouse, beach, or town for shopping. The hikes were hilly and a good workout. We got a 2 outstanding meals cooked in the villa by Katia, and had 2 meals at outstanding local restaurants. Relais Blue in the same village had breathtaking view of sunset over Capri and has one well deserved Michelin star. I highly recommend this villa for your vacation. This is a unanimous opinion from the 6 adults who stayed there!

This is a marvelous property

This is a marvelous property and we had a great stay (two families, seven people). Close enough to the action of Sorrento but far enough away to be private. Incredible views! If you are comfortable with a rustic stay this is a perfect choice. Carolina’s host team Rita and Luca were kind and helpful and arranged great outings and meals for us and were highly communicative.

The property was beautiful! The views of the sea and out to Capri were stunning. The pool was a welcome respite after the hot days of sight seeing!

The interiors were perfect! Clean and large rooms. The “attic” space is the best!

Luca was so responsive during all our planning and during our stay! His assistance was invaluable!

Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Grazie mille!

Our group of 3 couples enjoyed a wonderful week at “The Path of Sunset” villa. This lovely home is ideally situated for explorations to the region (Sorrento, Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi, Positano, and beyond) and had beautiful gardens and nearby hikes. The Punta Campanella walk begins right outside the door (a must do). The view and sunsets were glorious. Everything was tidy and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable and the linens were fresh and crisply clean. The kitchen was large, clean, and extraordinarily well stocked and we enjoyed our time there relaxing over coffee in the mornings or cooking together in the evenings. (…) Luca was our contact locally and kindly organized Capri and Pompeii tours for us in advance which we really enjoyed and highly recommend. Above, and beyond, he also arranged dinner reservations at nearby restaurants (very high quality) and also to have two delightful chefs cook a meal at home for us with delicious local flavour. We loved the wonderful meal at home. (…) The villa was ideal for cozying up when things outside were wild but then offered lovely spaces, inside and out, to enjoy the sunshine. Above all, the communication with Rita and Luca was exceptional. Both responded immediately and thoroughly to any query and were friendly and warm in every exchange. We all felt well supported by them and confident that any concern that might arise would be addressed. We were all able to relax and enjoy ourselves immensely and are most grateful to our kind hosts. We look forward to sharing our experience and fond memories with others and to highly recommending “The Path of Sunset” to anyone wishing to stay on the Sorrento peninsula. Grazie Mille, Rita and Luca!

A wonderful break

Our family of five stayed at Villa La Minerva for five days over New Years. We had a wonderful break. The villa has an amazing view over the island of Capri and is very tastefully decorated and clearly newly refurbished – the photos  certainly do not deceive! Even though it was offseason and winter, the villa has large windows with a view from every bedroom capturing the Mediterranean sun. Photos of the garden don’t show the mature vines & lemon tree orchard and swings/table tennis table for lazier days. And all the facilities and wifi worked very well. Our hosts Rita & Luca were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. They helped provide groceries on our arrival with delicious local mozzarella made that morning and local meats and fruits. And organised a memorable dinner at Lo Stuzzichino restaurant with fireworks over New Years’ Eve. (…)

We spent 6 wonderful days at Villa La Minerva. The pictures on the site do not deceive, it’s even more beautiful in person. We had 7 adults and and our 2 year old daughter and we had plenty of space. The bedrooms are spacious and bathrooms newly remodeled and beautiful. Bonus the plumbing and hot water work well unlike other experiences we had in Rome and Sicily. The kitchen is big with a large table to gather and modern appliances. The property and garden is huge and is like having your own private park which is beautifully landscaped with citrus and olive trees and flowers. There is a very nice spa pool however it was too cold to use in the evening when we wanted to use it. I’m sure it’s wonderful in the summer however. The views from the Villa and the garden are unbelievable of the sea and Its almost as if you can reach out and touch Capri, the sunsets are amazing! Our daughter loved running around the gardens playing and swinging on the swing and hammock and we didn’t have to worry because it’s all enclosed. It’s all very level even though it’s located on a steep slope as everything is here.

The Villas location in Termini is close to Sorento and good for exploring the Amalfi coast. We did day trips to Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and a private boat trip to Capri which was arranged by  local hosts Luca and Rita who were very helpful arranging anything you may need or want to do and responding to things.

Overall our trip and the Villa were amazing and would definitely repeat!
